Gina draws the cutest people! On her Valentine for her cousin (and bestest friend) she drew herself holding Baylor's hand. It warms my heart that she has so much love for him.

For Valentine's day went went over to my sister's house and had dinner with her family and my cousin Jenny. Really Jen is my second or third cousin (who knows) but we were raised much closer than that. We drifted apart a little through our college years, but I am so glad she is back in our lives. Our kids LOVE her and her dog, Brooklyn. I really feel like I have 2 sisters instead of one. I always have someone to run to Target with LOL!
I really have a lot of things to get accomplished today so with Gina off at her Oma and Opa's house I need to go get to work. I will post what I have been up to soon... many changes at our house :)

Sunday Fun

Every Sunday we get together with our family for a meal and fellowship at my Mom's house. This past Sunday my mom (the kids call her Oma) had a big Valentine party for the kids. She had games and crafts! It was so much fun! Adler (and Daddy) slept through the entire party.

Sweet Sweet Baby

How could I have a blog with so many pictures of Ms. G and none of my sweet baby? Here is Adler at 2 months old. The time flies by so quickly it feels like just yesterday I found out I was pregnant! I feel so blessed to have two wonderful children. Coming from thinking we would never have children to having two miracles, we couldn't be happier at our house.

My Funny Valentine

With a new Holiday upon us my daughter asked for a new twirly skirt! How could I say no? I could not stop at just a skirt, new hairbows were in order too. The froggy shirt (Target purchase) was the inspiration for the color combination. I used my own pattern for the skirt along with various fabric scraps. The heart is actually a pocket. Gina seems to always have little treasures she needs to tuck away. She loved this skirt so much she asked if I would take her picture :) As soon as I can figure out how to put the pictures in my blog where I want them I will post some free tutorials/patterns. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

A Cutie Creation

Finally a post about my creations! I know it has only been one day, but this is what I really want to post and share. Don't get me wrong there will be plenty about my family too. My daughter inspires me so much. This little doggie dress and hair bows was made with her interests in mind. I had every intent of selling this set, but the new baby came and time got away from me. The only way to get her to pose for me was letting her have a sucker! Well she poses, but never seems to look at me or be happy without one! I made this simple little jumper with a ruffle accent, then of course ruffle jeans were in order. Hairbows are a must at our house! Gina has curly, crazy hair with a mind of its own, plus she likes picking out the ribbon for me to use. I really like the blue and purple she picked for these. In fact she loves blue and purple so much right now that we are moving her room to give her purple and blue. I can not bring myself to paint over her current bedroom (I will post pics later of it). Look this was supposed to be about me and my sewing and somehow went back to being about Gina Beana.

A Cherished Moment

Really I just wanted to check to see if I could successfully add pictures to my posts, but when I found this picture I just had to write about it too! You have got to love an impromptu photo shoot. A new big sister sharing a sweet kiss with her precious new brother. We were all still in our pajamas (let's face it we spend most of our days still in our jammies at this point) and G asked if she could hold her, 1 month old at the time, brother. How could I refuse? She is the best big sister! Such a great helper and so considerate of him. I love the way she "checks" on him while he sleeps and is always willing to go and fetch whatever I have forgotten to grab. When we first came home from the hospital she would quietly entertain herself in her room or playroom so we could sleep. Gina has never been a napper, she prefers to get all of her sleep at one lump time - bedtime! I am so happy to have caught this little stolen moment between brother and sister :)

My First Post

Hello! I am so excited to finally have a blog! I have been "blog stalking" if you will for some time now. I have many blogs that I check almost ritually. I don't have any idea why it took me so long to get started, okay yes I do. I was scared! LOL I had no idea where to begin. My husband has his degree in Information Systems, but he never seemed to have time to help me get started. We have a 4 year old daughter and a 2 month old son. So really neither one of us has much time for anything other than breathing :) I look so forward to posting more and creating tutorials of my many self made projects. I also look forward to meeting many new people (especially those of you I have been stalking ;) ). I am truly excited to share my family and ideas, and also have a way to document everyday life.
